Meeting of Technical Managers of the TMC Group |

At the Italian headquarters, a meeting took place at the end of May among the managers of the technical departments from Italy, Spain, Australia and Argentina. This meeting made it possible to take stock on the studies for the technical improvement of product and select staff that will form the future technical department on Indian territory. This collaboration has helped to strengthen the network of technical information in order to improve the performance of the product. |

With its 200,000 visitors, this event is one of the most important on an international level. And the TMC Transformers Group, with its products and quality services, could not miss it.
The event was an excellent reference point for the market not only in Germany but worldwide. The visitors, many of whom already knew the TMC brand, were able to touch the TMC transformers by hand. Being shown were a standard transformer of 800 kVA 1000/400V and a special transformer of 2500 kVA 20000/710/710V. The commercial staff from the different offices were present, as well as the German agents and the management of the TMC Transformers Group. |

Major exports to Chile and Cuba |
| |
|
|
Continuing and enhancing the trend of steady growth that comes from its beginnings as headquarters productive, TMC Sudamerica, has begun 2008 with two major exports to Chile and Cuba, for a total of 106 transformers.
The work for Chile has 60 transformers of different powers ranging from 250 kVA to 2000 kVA. The project for which was awarded the sale of equipment TMC is Costanera Center, which belongs to holding Cencosud. The Mall is a real estate project currently under construction, located in the commune of Providencia, Santiago, Chile.
It consists of a set of four buildings, where its central building, the Tower Great Coast, will have a total area of 128,000 sq metres and will have a height of 300 metres including spiral, 265 metres until the last of its 65 floors. With these features, Costanera Center will be the highest skyscraper in the country and in South America and the second in the Southern Hemisphere (after the Q1 Tower Australia). The other three buildings will have a height of 165, 160 and 104 m each.
For its part, the company Energo Imports of Cuba has required 46 transformers with IP31 enclosure for the hidden network of La Habana. Transformers are requested to 200 KVA, 225 KVA, 300 KVA to 500 KVA. |

Starting of the new Italian head office workings |

Finally the workings to build TMC Italia had office are starting. The new building will take place in Busto Arsizio industrial area, Varese province, at a few kilometers from the current head office.
The project, that will be concluded within 2008, will include an area of 22.910 square meters, 12.500 of them meant for the production facility and 1.200 for the offices.
This renovation is the result of a strong and continuous increase in production for the entire TMC Transformers group and the market of reference, a rise that will bring a further improvement of the product service and quality. |

Even though the Company widening has already occurred, last one at the beginning of 2007, it has been concluded the agreement for the building of a new production structure located in ARTEA (Sector industrial S.A.P.U.I Bildosola Azunea-Artea) at a few kilometers from Bilbao.
The complete and definitive project, at least for next years, is made of a new construction of about 5000 square meters that will hold the mechanical workshop and the offices.
This fast development of the Company reality is the consequence of a series of favorable coincidences, among which the most important are the will and the ability of the Spanish management together with the market growth. |

Advanced Planning & Scheduling: a new challange |
| |
|
|
Big news in the logistics office of the Italian offices of TMC TRANSFORMERS. After 7 months of analysis and adjustments, the new APS software (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) has been given the all-clear.
The project was completed in collaboration with several groups: with the company TEMADE from Gallarate (VA), represented by Alessandro Tacchi, and with Centrufficio Sistemi srl from Gallarate (VA), supplier of the ERP software. The whole project was coordinated by Prof. Eng. Claudio Sella, Professor of e-SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (SCM) at LIUC university in Castellanza (VA).
The purpose of the application is to obtain a precise, punctual and granular analysis, in a closely integrated way, of the flow of internal and external inherent data, using data coming from sales, from the technical department and from digital measurement of the progress of production.
The logistics manager, Miss Laura Monti who, together with the collaborator Mr Alberto Caliaro, contributed to the development of this solution, states: "With this new system we can carefully and accurately control the progress of production. The changeover from batch logic to real time using the APS technique will enable us to foresee delays and inaccuracies and to make the appropriate corrections before the events occur."
The APS software is a new challenge for TMC companies. In fact, the top management decided to invest part of resources in projects such as this. The final objective is to make tangible improvements to the structure in order to make it more flexible and professional for the client’s benefit. |
